The Sugar Investment Trust Group

Established under the Sugar Industry Efficiency Act in 1994, the Sugar Investment Trust (SIT) Group stands as a beacon of commercial excellence, operating under the auspices of the Companies Act 2001.

Our journey has been marked by remarkable growth, propelled by a dynamic business model focused on sustainable value creation for our stakeholders. Since 2005, our success has been underpinned by a diversified investment strategy spanning key economic sectors: from sugar milling and cane cultivation to energy, leisure, and property development.

As the largest shareholder-based public company in Mauritius, SIT Group embodies economic empowerment, boasting a shareholder base exceeding 55,000 individuals, predominantly comprising small cane planters, industry employees, and retirees. Our consistent financial performance underscore our commitment to excellence.

Our success story is not just ours alone; it's a testament to the collective achievements of SIT Group and its key subsidiaries, all united by a shared vision and purpose.

Our investments in property development have been a cornerstone of our growth trajectory. We launched Le Waterpark and the leisure village in the 2000s, followed by successful agricultural morcellement projects at Deux Bras and Bois Cheri. Additionally, we executed projects at Residences Les Palmiers, Residential Morcellement, Beau Climat Agricultural Morcellement, Les Residences Pinewood Gardens Residential Morcellement, and La Flora 1 Agricultural Morcellement. From 2006 to 2009, numerous highly caliber and successful projects were sold and rented out at Mare D’Albert, Deux Bras 2, Union Vale, La Flora 2, Mare D’Albert 2, Les Residences Union Park, and Residences Rose Belle. Not to forget, we established a splendid nursery project at Britannia in 2008.
