Rooted in Mauritius’ sugar industry, agriculture has been central to SIT’s heritage since its establishment. Through SIT Land Holdings Ltd, the Group has built experience in sugarcane cultivation, plantation management, agricultural land development and diversification initiatives. Today, SIT’s land bank spans approximately 857 hectares, including around 300 hectares dedicated to sugarcane cultivation. To revitalise its plantations, SITLH has initiated a derocking and replanting programme, with the ambition of expanding sugarcane cultivation to 500 hectares by 2028 and increasing production to over 35,000 tonnes of sugarcane. Over the years, SITLH has also developed 12 agricultural morcellements across Mauritius, comprising more than 3,060 agricultural plots, helping make agricultural land accessible to cultivators. Through its ongoing plantation renewal, agricultural diversification and food security initiatives, SIT continues to support the development of Mauritius’ agricultural sector.

SIT has developed numerous residential projects across Mauritius, creating opportunities for families to own land and build their homes. Its portfolio includes Les Résidences Pinewood Gardens in Wooton, Les Résidences Les Palmiers in Union Vale, Les Résidences Union Park, and Résidences Rose Belle, as well as the integrated development of Aurea Living Harmony at Côte d’Or. Beyond residential development, SIT also manages commercial property assets, including The CORE and NG Tower in Ebène, supporting both residential and business growth in Mauritius.

As part of its investment diversification strategy, SIT is pursuing opportunities in renewable energy to support Mauritius’ transition towards more sustainable energy sources. Through SIT Land Holdings Ltd. Building on these initiatives, SIT has also identified land at Carreau Acacia, Belle Rive and Virginia for potential future solar farm developments. These projects reflect the Group’s ambition to explore viable renewable-energy investments while contributing to the country’s energy transition and long-term sustainability goals.
