3. Electrical Engineer (on contract) Ref: E.Eng/SIT/2019

The job incumbent will:

  1. report to the Project Manager;
  2. be responsible to:
    (a) design, develop and maintenance of all electrical systems;
    (b) provide technical expertise in the field of Electrical Engineering;(c) supervise contracts relating to electrical systems and installation of the SIT Group.


  1. Contract supervision of electrical systems.
  2. Implement and enforce safety into all electrical installation works. (It is suggested the 15th Edition of IEE regulation be the standards for compliance).
  3. Plan, coordinate, supervise and monitor maintenance contract relating to:
    (a) refurbishment of generator sets; and
    (b) motor maintenance, rewinds, protection equipment (i.e over current relays, thermal devices, alternators up to 300KVA, autotransformer starters, battery charges, portable generators, power factor correction equipment).
  4. Co-ordinate with Team Leaders of SIT Group on new installation to ensure that the required spares, tools, equipments and training are provided.
  5. Indentify problems areas and plant deficiencies and evaluate remedial action.
  6. Responsible for the programmable logic controllers, general electronic monitoring, installation and control, automation equipment and telemetry systems.
  7. Identify problems areas and deficiencies relating to the electrical plant, system and installation and take remedial corrective actions.
  8. Perform other duties directly related to the main duties listed above.
  9. Perform other cognate duties as may be assigned by Project Manager or the Chief Executive Officer.
